Design Philosophy

The guiding design principle for this site was to let the work shine. It was a great exercise in restraint. With a site so visually simple, it really emphasizes the small details more. The subtle grid lines you see throughout add structure without visual noise. To me, they subtly evoke that sense this site is constantly being worked on, like you're working in Figma.

The Cursor

The one place I let myself have some fun was the cursor. It's probably the detail I'm most happy with. It's inspired by the iPadOS pointer, which I've always admired for its multipurpose approach. Rather than a single static shape, it morphs depending on context. Explore the site and try to find all the ways it presents itself.

Hosting Content With Sanity

All content on this site is hosted with Sanity. I needed a CMS that was highly flexible, and it delivers. Sanity Studio is a proper editing experience, and it's incredibly customizable. I've barely scratched the surface of all the little customizations I can make to the publishing experience. GROQ (their query language) is readable and fast, which makes implementing new features and content types very easy.

Sanity's dev resources are also fantastic, some of the best I've seen. They have a lot of AI-forward features and they're building new ones every day. Would highly recommend giving Sanity a try.
